You can reach the Colosseum by numerous buses: Line 51, Line 75, Line 85, Line 87, Line 117, 118, the night line nMB, or tram 3 will drop you near the Amphitheater.

By car

It is possible to reach the Colosseum by car although we do not recommend it as the area is very busy. There are paid parking lots near the Colosseum where you can get there via via Fori Imperiali or via Celio Vibenna.

From the airport

  • From Fiumicino: the Leonardo Express train will take you to Termini station in 32 minutes, from where you can take metro Line B to Colosseo (10 minutes). Alternatively, the Terravision shuttle bus will take you directly to Termini.
  • From Ciampino: the shuttle bus is the most convenient solution to reach Termini. Alternatively, you can take the FL4 train to Termini and then the metro B to Colosseo.
